The Computer Center, funded by the California Technology
Foundation, is an effort to bridge the digital divide. The Center
provides training in application software and the Internet
tailored to meet the needs of refugees. The Center is also a
gateway to the Internet for many refugees without home access to
computers. Since its inception in November 2000, the Center has
serves on average 12-15 individuals on a daily basis. |
