Sponsorship is about loving our neighbors as ourselves and sharing our gifts in keeping with our human social values.  Through sponsorship you have the opportunity to connect with a poor child or elderly friend at a refugee site in Africa and other countries.  The poor and underserved at AAA sites suffer from malnutrition, inadequate medical care, poor housing and little chance for the children to receive education. Sponsorship makes a real difference in their lives and the lives of their sponsors.  Through sponsorship we learn about another culture.  We come to understand their needs, but we also see their God given gifts and talents.  The principal gift they offer us is the lived faith in God and humanity.  For when you have very little, when you live in grinding poverty, and having knowledge about the bond and relationship we have in God and humanity, the gift of faith and hope shines forth.  Humanity binds us together. Humanity is our culture, tribe and nationality.  “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ.” Galatians 3:28.

Payment Options:  The cost of sponsorship is $25.00 a month and is tax deductible.  You may pay by EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer), credit card, or check.  Many sponsors choose to send their sponsorship support quarterly, semi-annually or yearly. EFT: With your permission, your monthly sponsorship donation can be automatically deducted from your checking account and deposited with AAA through our Automatic Bank Payment Plan. AAA saves on both administrative and postage costs, allowing us to send more money to the field. 

Credit Card : If you would like, we can charge your donation by credit card. Check:  Each time you send AAA your sponsorship donation, you receive a return receipt.  Attached to the bottom of your receipt is a coupon for you to use when making your next contribution. As a sponsor you will receive:  A picture of your sponsored friend, information on your new friend’s family, living conditions, country, and information on writing your sponsored friend.  Your friend will write to you at least twice each year and you will receive publications with updates on other projects that other sponsors support makes possible. 

Your sponsored child will receive:   Nourishing food, medical and dental care, basic clothing, The chance to go to school and the comforting knowledge that someone cares. As sponsors and God’s people, we have the opportunity and obligation to obey our Lord Jesus Christ when he said:  “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink……..I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me.”  Mathew 25: 35-36.

Dear Sir Madam :We are requesting you to sponsor a child or aging person through AAA.  We will reserve a child or aging person from our overseas project for your sponsorship.  Right now we have many children in our Uganda project who need to be sponsored.  We will be pleased to present to you a photo and family profile of your child and other important information to assist you as you begin this great adventure of compassion.  Your sponsorship will formally begin when we receive your first contribution.  At that time, we will mail you a receipt along with the mailing address where you may write your sponsored friend.  Your sponsorship will give your child hope and chance to overcome obstacles of poverty.  Our work with the Refugees, the economically challenged and the underserved at Alliance for African Assistance in San Diego and around the world depends on your generosity and support.   May God continue to bless you and meet your needs as you will continue helping a child live with dignity.  We wish you a long and rewarding friendship.
