On January 24, 2025, the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) was suspended for 90 days. This decision has left refugee families—mothers, fathers, and children—in an unimaginable crisis. Payments for rent, transportation, medical care, and basic services have stopped, leaving them without a safety net.
Refugees resettled by the Alliance are among the most thoroughly vetted individuals, arriving ready to work hard and contribute to their communities. Now, their lifeline has been cut off, and they are in immediate danger.
